1206 : Mongol Genghis Khan and sons create the worlds largest empire
1300 : Mongolian Empire falls apart due to disunity
1380 : Chinese Ming troops take the capital Karakorum
1636 : Inner Mongolia created by the Qings from the Manchu empire
1691 : Chinese Manchu empire protects what becomes Outer Mongolia
1727 : Western border agreed between Russian and Manchu empires
1911 : Outer Mongolia becomes independent as Qing empire falls apart
1919 : China reoccupies Outer Mongolia
1920 : Mongolians Peoples Party founded, assisted by Siberian Bolsheviks
